We've put together a guide of some of the most popular spots to eat, drink, shop, and sight-see in Sioux Falls, with links to more detailed information. Blarney Stone: Classic Irish pub with thirty-six draft beers.

 

Bread and Circus Sandwich Kitchen: Unique menu (sandwiches, soups, salads) with a cool, casual atmosphere. They have a nice patio if you are looking to sit outside! Craft beer and wine options available. *The Curried Cauliflower and Vietnamese Fried Chicken sandwiches are must haves–don’t sleep on the fries either!

 

Ode to Food and Drinks: Located inside the Country Inn & Suites, they feature a full espresso bar, happy hour specials, and a patio on the river.

 

Cookie Jar Eatery: A great place for a quick lunch and a sweet treat. They serve soups, salads, and sandwiches, but it’s their cookies that keep people coming back! (Only open M-F.)

 

Crawford's: Upscale bar and restaurant known for their steak but with lots of other choices as well. Historic building, brick walls, funky atmosphere and decor. A great place to go for apps and drinks!

 

JL Beers: Burgers, wide beer selection, laid back atmosphere.

 

Sushi Masa: Authentic sushi restaurant, one of the favorites in Sioux Falls.

 

​​Oshima Sushi: The other Sioux Falls favorite!

 

Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen: Cajun, Creole, and Southern cuisine, everything from po’ boys and jambalaya to fried okra and crawfish hushpuppies. The food here is generous and delicious!

 

R Wine Bar: Award-winning Italian restaurant and wine bar in a historic building with lots of ambiance. One of the most-loved places in Sioux Falls and a great place for wine lovers. They also have live music every Friday and Saturday evenings. *Try the Bruschetta app and Caprese salad! 

 

Boki European Street Food

 

Roots of Brasil: An amazing, Brazilian fusion hot-spot. Cool interior, great service and food unlike anywhere else. *Their Gaucho Fries are super craveable and, if you go with 2-4 people, try the Churrasco (meat and sides platter). You will not be disappointed!

 

MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill, and Pub: Montana-inspired restaurant with a wide ranging menu that includes salads, burgers, pub classics, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta.

 

Maribella Ristorante: Another award-winning Italian restaurant with an authentic Italian menu featuring an all-Italian wine list, Italian beer, and Italian cocktails. This place is delicious, but a little more upscale. Great ambience and top-notch service.

 

Monk's Ale House: Also known as Monk's House of Ale Repute. A laid back atmosphere featuring hundreds of craft beers, with fifty constantly changing craft beers on tap. Menu includes appetizers, pizza, burgers, and salads.

 

The Treasury: 1920s-inspired cocktail lounge located on the first floor of the historic Hotel Phillips, which was once the Sioux Falls National Bank. Menu features craft cocktails, wine, beer, and savory bar bites. This would be a great place to grab an evening drink and some light bites.

 

Phillips Avenue Diner: Popular vintage restaurant with a 50s and 60s vibe and a delicious menu that includes breakfast all day and fabulous milkshakes.

 

Mama's Ladas: An enchilada shop and wine bar featuring homemade salsa and guacamole made daily. Small place with a small menu (best to not go with more than 2-4 people). but they have very tasty enchiladas!

 

Sanaa's Gourmet Mediterranean: Right across the parking lot from the hotel! Known for being green and healthy, their menu includes a number of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Saturday lunch buffet!

 

Josiah's Coffeehouse, Café, and Bistro: A coffee shop, cafe, and bake shop with a huge and delicious all-day breakfast menu. They have a pastry chef on site all day, and the baked goods are fabulous. They can get quite busy on a Saturday and Sunday morning, but it’s worth the line!

 

La Luna Cafe: A secret gem of Sioux Falls. A coffee shop that serves waffles, bowls, sandwiches, pizza, and tacos. They would be great to go to for breakfast or lunch. Space decorreated with work by local artists. *Highly recommend the Green Eggs and Ham or any of their specialty waffles!

 

M. B. Haskett: Delicatessen with a full menu that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve a variety of crepes. Smaller menu, but what they make is seasonal and delicious.

 

The Cattitude Cafe: This is a CAT CAFE. They serve coffee, tea, smoothies, and desserts, and they have CATS. If you’re missing your furry buddy, this may be the place for you. You can also hang around outside of the cafe and fawn over the cats through the giant windows. Because CATS.

Cookie Jar Eatery: A great place for a quick lunch and a sweet treat. They serve soups, salads, and sandwiches, but it’s their cookies that keep people coming back! (Only open M-F.)

 

Intoxicakes: The quintessential boozy bakery for those who like a little extra pep in their sweets.

 

CH Patisserie: James Beard Semi-Finalist! A french-style bakery with amazing macarons, pastries, coffee, and more! Cute eat-in tables and a great place to meet up with a few people for a treat.

 

Mary's Mountain Cookies: A cookie classic and fan favorite.

 

Queen City Bakery: Satiate your sweet tooth with a local favorite.

 

Coffea Roasterie and Espresso Bar: Perfect place to get your caffeine fix.

 

The Source Coffee Roastery + Taproom: Your one stop shop for coffee, fine wine, and craft beer!

 

Parlour: For ice cream lovers who love high-quality ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere.

Fernson Brewing Co.: Local favorite and brewed right here in South Dakota.

 

Gist Wine Shop: If you are a wine lover, this is the best place in Sioux Falls! A woman-owned wine shop with a chill, coffee-shop ambience. Stop in for a glass (or two!) and peruse their selection of bottles! *Show your conference badge and get a $15 wine flight!

 

R Wine Bar: Award-winning Italian restaurant and wine bar in a historic building with lots of ambiance. One of the most-loved places in Sioux Falls and a great place for wine lovers. They also have live music every Friday and Saturday evenings. *Try the Bruschetta app and Caprese salad! 

 

Remedy Brewing Company: Right across the parking lot from the hotel! They also have good food if you are wanting to hit up somewhere casual. Lots of seating (would be good for a group).

 

WoodGrain Brewing Co.: Another local favorite microbrewery. There’s something for everyone, and all tastebuds will surely leave satisfied.

 

JL Beers: One of the only places in Sioux Falls to get mead on tap!

The Big Sioux River Recreational River Trail: Walk or rent a bike and enjoy the blending of the city and nature as you follow the Big Sioux’s journey through Sioux Falls.

 

Fawick Park: A magnificent, full-sized reproduction of the statue of "David" by Michelangelo (one of only two castings ever made) is a sight to behold.
